Fishing and boating are among the most popular activities for visitors at Bimini Bay Resort & Marina located in the Out Islands of Bahamas, especially anglers looking to break the 1993 record for a 971-pound tuna or compete in one of the fishing tournaments. While there’s plenty of fish, there’s also plenty to see and do on land, including exploring Alice Town and all of its unique Caribbean-styled shops, restaurants and bars along The King’s Highway.

Activities offered at this Caribbean resort include yachting, kayaking, snorkeling and diving. There’s plenty to see in the water—shipwrecks dating back to the 1800s, or exploring the Lost City of Atlantis and the Wreck of the Sapona. On land, history buffs will want to explore the rich past of Bimini. For example, living legend Ansil Saunders can be found building beautiful bonefishing boats that sell for $40,000 each. There are tours of the healing hole where it is said that Martin Luther King Jr. wrote his eulogy while exploring its healing waters. Others visit the End of the World Bar and Honeymoon Harbour.

Other attractions include the straw market and the Bimini Museum where visitors can experience how Bimini came to be what it is today.

The resort centers around family activities such as bingo night, movie night for the kids, a children’s playground, tennis courts and bocce ball courts. During the summer months, Bimini Resort will introduce a summer kids’ camp. While there are a variety of fishing tournaments on the island, several include fishing clinics for the kids.
