This Caribbean resort continues to develop its programs and activities, but visitors can expect to find a variety of activities onsite, including a marina, tennis, golf and spa services. Children’s programs, including babysitting, also will be available.
Visitors will want to visit Ocean Hole on Rock Sound. People once drank and bathed in Ocean Hole for medicinal purposes as the brackish water of this rumored-to-be bottomless Ocean Hole is now the home of many tropical fish and turtles. These fish have been reported to be the descendents of fish put into this natural limestone years ago locals of the island. The Ocean Hole is adjourned by the Rock Sound Park, which features all the amenities of a playground. It opened in 1970 by the late, Rt. Hon. Lynden O. Pindling, former Prime Minister of The Bahamas in honor of the freedom-loving people of South Eleuthera.
