Four Seasons Great Exuma Pool

Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma

Four Seasons Great Exuma at Emerald Bay offers the finest luxury and quality accommodations in the Bahamas, not to mention a word renowned Greg Norman designed Golf Course with ocean views.

Part of The Bahamas' captivating Out Islands, the Exumas, the island chain where Four Seasons resides, are a 120-mile (193-km) chain of 365 cays and islands, stretching southeast from Nassau. Known for the friendliness of its people, the Exumas offer a pleasantly tropical climate, hidden coves, untouched Beaches and mostly uninhabited isles. Straddling the Tropic of Cancer, Great Exuma - at just 40 miles (64 kilometers) long - is the largest island in the chain, and with a population of only 3,570, it is still largely undiscovered. Thirty minutes north of George Town, the island's capital, crescent-shaped Emerald Bay is a 470-acre (190-ha) tropical paradise surrounded by crystal clear cerulean waters that are renowned for fishing, diving, sailing and a wealth of marine life.

Located on one of the most beautiful beaches at Great Exuma, Four Seasons provides an excellent bathing, swimming and water sports venue, and with a full service marina. In addition to three fresh water pools (two adult pools and one children’s pool), guests can enjoy snorkeling, fishing excursions and boating in waters that are perfect for yachting, bone and deep-sea fishing with unspoiled reefs and coves.

Great Exuma is a peaceful respite from rest of the world. With crystalline waters and white sandy beaches, it is a paradise that induces relaxation. Largely unpopulated, Exuma is an unspoiled enclave replete with marine life. With a rich heritage and warm culture, Great Exuma is the perfect  Bahamaian island for a rejuvenating vacation.

The Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma opened in November 2003 on this relatively uninhabited Caribbean Island. The Resort’s design team, Avery Brooks & Associates, created a Bahamian Colonial inspired design. They painted the cottages in pastel blues and yellows, topped with white sloped, tiled roofs, and shuttered stucco exteriors to reflect The Bahamas rich history under American, English, French, Spanish, Dutch and Danish sovereignties.

Guest accommodations at Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma blend seamlessly with the Resort’s Bahamian Colonial architecture and tropical landscaping. Designed in the shape of a crescent to complement the natural arc of Emerald Bay, guest rooms and suites at Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma are located in a cluster of three-story buildings with white Bahamian sloped, tiled roofs and shuttered soft pastel stucco exteriors.  Each room offers either terraces or balconies suitable for dining, all facing Emerald Bay.

Four Seasons features 140 oversized guest rooms, starting at 48 square meters (512 sq. ft.), and an extensive collection of 43 luxurious suites. Thirty-six Four Seasons Executive Suites feature a separate living room, and two full bathrooms.  The six one-bedroom beachfront suites are ideal for families and private entertaining, with a king or double-bedded room, separated by a large living room, along with two bathrooms.  The three-bedroom Royal Villa showcases a private pool and a peaceful patio courtyard for al fresco dining and relaxing.
