Hope Town Harbour Lodge
Beginning life as a private home in 1948, Hope Town Harbour Lodge is located on the beach in the picturesque, quaint community of Hope Town on Elbow Cay, Abaco. Originally, it was called the Great Harbour House as Hope Town Harbour was originally known as Great Harbour. Great Harbour House became a hotel in 1959 and has been partially rebuilt several times after surviving hurricane ‘Betsy’ in 1964 and hurricane ‘Floyd’ in 1999.
The hotel has 25 rooms comprising of lodges, poolside and oceanfront cabanas, and oceanfront and ocean-view cottages. The Reef Bar & Grill overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and offers spectacular Bahamian cuisine and relaxing hammocks under coconut palms. The Upper Terrace Lounge provides an unforgettable al fresco dining experience with unbeatable views of the historic candy-striped lighthouse and the harbour.
Weddings, honeymoons, banquets, fund-raisers, balls and parties are well-coordinated and executed at Hope Town Harbour Lodge. Indoor or outdoor settings, full catering, and a special island touch are all available.
