Fly into Marsh Harbour International Airport (MHH) from Sanford/Orlando, Daytona Beach, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Nassau or Freeport. Hope Town Hideaways is just off shore of the main island of Great Abaco.We can arrange a private rental boat or take Albury's Ferry that runs about every 2 hours. Taxis meet all flights and just say, "Hope Town Hideaways," and they will take you directly to the ferry dock or rental boat company.On the way to the ferry dock you may want to stop for lunch or to shop, taxi drivers in Abaco are often teachers, preachers, or filling in for a relative and they are generally in no hurry for you to go, they will help you with any errands or details. The taxi drivers are my heroes for lost luggage, always helping bridge the gap between the airport and our little island cay. Once your plane lands, it is about 3.5 miles to the ferry and a 20-minute scenic boat ride to the island of Elbow Cay and the village of Hope Town. Your ferry captain will request your house's name and then will call us by VHF radio to say, "we have your guests on board!" We will meet you at the villas dock. Abaco is famous for its protected waterways perfect for boating. If you would like to rent your own boat and captain yourself to the villa, we have a complimentary slip for you (up to 26'). The Hope Town Hideaways office will help you make necessary arrangement and the rental company will provide directions and maps. If you decide to ride the ferry (perhaps a long day of travel), we can have a rental boat delivered and don't forget we have a motorized dinghy for your use...here we have docks not parking lots! You can access the grocery shop, liquor store, bakery, etc. by boat.
