The crystal clear waters of Great Exuma are home to abundant marine life, coral reefs and beautiful underwater gardens, which make this a diver's paradise with breathtaking sites including underwater caves and grottos. The resort will help arrange a multitude of activities with local outfitters and guides. Independent travelers can rent a boat and find hundreds of isolated islands and cays to explore.
On site, guests can explore the sandy beaches, the island's largest freshwater pool, sea kayaks, and two Hobie cats for the exclusive use of our guests. The Palm Bay Pirates Kids Club has a variety of activities throughout the year.
Local outfitters, such as Starfish, offer sea kayak, sailing, and eco-tourism trips; Exuma Scuba Adventures offers scuba and snorkeling trips, equipment and instruction, and guests also can rent motorboats for island exploring.
Also on the island is the Caribbean Marine Research Center created in 1984 by the Perry Institute for Marine Science, Inc. to address the critical issues associated with escalating environmental degradation as well as other problems related to living marine resources and marine geological processes of the Caribbean, Florida and other tropical and subtropical regions of the world.
Stocking Island is a popular daytrip, where visitors can walk the finest white sand beaches in The Bahamas.
