Pineapple Fields, is 32-unit boutique resort owned and operated by the team, Peter Birkwieser and David Barlyn, who directed the development of some of the premier properties in the Caribbean and Bahamas, including Pink Sands Resort on nearby Harbour Island, Compass Point in Nassau, Strawberry Hill in the blue mountains of Jamaica, and Ladera Resort located between the majestic Pitons in St. Lucia.
Each of the twenty-eight, 920 square-feet, one-bedroom condos and 1,200-square foot two-bedroom condos features fully equipped kitchens with granite countertops, master baths with oversized marble vanities and spacious bedrooms with king-sized beds. All units have front and rear verandas which offer spectacular views of either the ocean, gardens or pool. Guests enjoy the views relaxing on teak furniture with a rum punch in one hand a good book in the other.
Tippy’s is a beach bistro surrounded by dunes and lush vegetation and is the centerpiece of Pineapple Fields. It’s built of interlocking open-sized gazebos tied together with a wrap-around dining veranda. The bar is made of weathered wood from an old dock and tables recycled from the original shutters from the days when it was a club, owned by a New York society women. And it’s not unusual to see a celebrity dining at the beachside bistro where the menu is crafted each morning and posted on blackboards. Tippy’s is known for its fresh produce and fish, delivered daily by farmers and fisherman.
