Rainbow Inn
Rainbow Inn is a small friendly, informal inn by the sea that specializes in personal service. The inn's location on the island makes it an ideal base from which to explore the rest of Eleuthera. Within minutes are some of the island's top tourist attractions: Surfer's Beach, the famous caves of Hatchet Bay, Glass Window Bridge, the Pineapple Fields of Gregory Towm, plus our own Secret Beach. They even have "Bonefish Graham's" own personal guide book on bonefishing in Eleuthera.
The waterfornt area within its seaside tennis court and some of best snorkeling on the island (one of the sites on the Jean-Michel Cousteau Bahama Out Island Snorkeling Adventures) will provide hours of enjoyment for the whole family. All rooms have refrigerators, coffee makers, microwave ovens, and toasters plus a gas grill by the pool.
The Nautical Resturant and bar is unsurpassed on the island for true "native dishes" and excellent continental specialties.
Rainbow Inn is one of the oldest continuing operating resorts on Eleuthera Island. The Inn specializes in bonefishing and gives guests written guides and maps so they can navigate the flats without ever having to climb on to a boat. This small – 12 room – inn also is popular because it’s centrally located, making it easy to explore Eleuthera Island, while getting an intimate setting on the Out Islands of The Bahamas. Rainbow Inn is just two miles outside of the village.
The current owners bought the inn in 1980 and renovated it 12 years later, where they focus their attention on individual guests, all of whom they know by name. The island at the inn’s location is only about 1/3 of a mile wide, so it’s easy to walk from one shore to the other, and explore miles of deserted beaches along the way. Among the popular beaches includes Rainbow Beach, Hidden Beach, Cave Beach (Twin Beach), Surfer's Beach and J.C. Beach. While Rainbow Inn offers a water front, great for snorkeling, the beaches are just a short walk away.
The Inn offers a variety of packages throughout the year, but it is closed Sept. 1 through Nov. 15.
