Small Hope Bay Lodge

Small Hope Bay Lodge is an all-inclusive resort, small enough to relax, big enough for an adventure. Small Hope Bay Lodge is a place where you can relax, unwind, get away from it all, or maybe have a little adventure vacation all of your own. Either way, you can create your own vacation, exactly the way you like it at Small Hope Bay. Scuba dive or snorkel in one of the largest and most unexplored barrier reefs in the world. Experience world-class bonefishing. Lie in a hammock. Sip a cold Kalik (a Bahamian brewed beer), take a long walk on the beach, or just relax, and read a good book.

At Small Hope Bay Lodge, you’ll get the most established dive resort in the Caribbean. It’s a perfect spot to celebrate with family and friends, get married, take a second honeymoon, or just get away from it all in the Out Islands of the Bahamas.

This small Bahamas all-inclusive resort was built in 1960 by a Canadian couple who wanted to build a new life for themselves away from the snow and cold, in a relaxing environment, where they could experience nature, and share all there is to offer in the Out Islands of the Bahamas with others from around the world.

The resort provides a peaceful, secluded, romantic getaway on Andros Island, where you can experience new adventures and create a real dream vacation. This is not your typical Bahamas hotel. This is a resort, where you can select one of 21 beach-front cottages, all clustered around the central lodge, built of coral rock and Andros pine, offering a home-like atmosphere, where you can relax, have dinner or a drink in the lounge and bar area. There’s also a game room and reading room.

Because your vacation is about relaxing, there are no phones, no computers (aside from a phone and Internet access from the office), no newspapers and no TVs. No dress code, either. This is a relaxing, informal resort, best experienced with bare feet. (Take the hint: leave the necktie and pinstripes at home.) You’ll want to focus on the natural environment, whether you want to experience it in the water, on the beach or exploring on land.

Back at the cottage, there is a small boutique, a laundry facility and an outdoor patio bar and dining, perfect for summer-night barbecues. Small Hope Bay Lodge has been featured in the “100 Best Resorts of the Caribbean,” and “1000 Places To See Before You Die."
