Tiamo is on 12 acres of Caribbean paradise, with 11 simple, yet elegant open-air beach bungalows, all surrounded by 125 acres of naturally preserved wilderness. There never are more than 22 guests at the resort at one time, and with 35 staff members, you can be assured you’ll be taken care of at this high-end Caribbean resort.
Each private bungalow is complete with all the essentials, like heavenly king-sized beds (or two twin beds), soft linens and breezy wrap-around porches. No television or cell phones, though. No interruptions. Just the calming sounds of the ocean, the birds and a tropical breeze rustling the fronds of the coconut trees around you.
Most guests don’t realize what it means to stay at an eco-resort. Luxurious linens and furnishings, for example, showers heated by the sun, bungalows cooled by the tropical breezes and the whir of a solar-powered ceiling fan.
Meals are served at the main lodge. The nightly dinner begins with a 6:30 cocktail hour, followed by flavorful Caribbean cuisine, colorful conversation and extraordinary fine wines and after-dinner liqueurs.
All meals, island transportation, light-adventure activities, and biologist-guided nature tours are included.
