The property is a garden of Eden. Guests enjoy shaded coconut groves, citrus and tropical fruits blended with exotics like wild orchids, African Tulip, giant Milkweed as well as the island favorites like banana, bougainvilla, hibiscus and colorful crotons.
Hope Town Hideaways is a 15-acre private estate that borders water on both boundaries - Sea of Abaco and Hope Town Harbour. The island of Elbow Cay is slightly over 5 miles so even though the property is exclusive for guests only, our resort guests enjoy the amenities of the entire island. Choose from a gourmet coffee shop serving home-baked goods, smoothies as well as roasting their own special beans to perfection. Enjoy this popular meeting place with a beautiful view of the village and harbour.
There are a total of six other restaurants. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at four of the restaurants and two are lunch and dinner only. You may choose to relax by the beach and pool and dine on the fresh catch or sit inside an elegant dining room with fine wine service and gourmet selections created from the local seafood and fruits and vegetables. There are also waterfront pubs offering happy hours and live music where the island calypso & reggae entwines with soft laughter, great fishing stories and the gently lapping waves.
There are native gift shops with carved dolphins, rare shells, hand-dyed materials, island books, original artwork, custom designed gold jewelry highlighting all the treasures from the sea - turtles to seahorses, conches and coral. Guests enjoy renting paddle boats, bicycles, golf carts, myriad boats from sail to 26-ft twin engine power boats.
